Harnessing the power of emerging petascale platforms

John Mellor-Crummey presented this talk at the SciDAC 2007 Annual Meeting. The talk describes three enabling technologies being developed as part of the CScADS center: a tool for analyzing node performance, a tool for optimizing loop nests for better node performance, and a tool for pinpointing scalability bottlenecks. The tools are described by showing how they apply to S3D, a turbulent combustion code under development at Sandia National Laboratory.
