In this talk I will present an overview of the issues involved in porting Dyninst to run on the embedded operating system VxWorks. In addition to the technical issues of the port, I will present some new Dyninst features including the ability to run Dyninst on a program where the only copy available is in the memory of the system being instrumented. I will also show off a new feature recently added to Dyninst to allow the parsing of C style expressions into dyninst snippets. Subject to a working network, this talk will include a demo.
